Did you know there are six different ways to share from your Boutique Window? Boutique Window makes it easy to stay top of mind, drive more foot traffic and sell more by sharing your merchandise often on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
1. Share new arrivals when you publish
When you add merchandise to your Boutique Window, be sure to share the news with your shoppers immediately to get them excited about your new arrivals. Boutique Window automatically prompts you to share the new merchandise you just published.
2. Share existing merchandise anytime (and often!)
Share merchandise you already have in your Boutique Window directly from your “Everything” page. Easily share your items in a new way by utilizing one of our many photo collage templates. Get the most mileage out of your merchandise by featuring groups of items, highlight coordinating items in an outfit or simply remind shoppers of all the great new arrivals you recently placed on the floor.
3. Share a single item
Shine the spotlight on your favorite items. Simply hover over an item and click share. Boutique Window automatically adds a link back to that item in your Boutique Window so shoppers can get more details before continuing to browse the rest of your in store merchandise.
Pro tip: When you add a batch of merchandise to your Boutique Window, share the news of your new arrivals to your shoppers. Then, in the days following, pick individual items from that batch to feature on Facebook and Twitter.
4. Share a new collection
Organize your merchandise into collections to showcase your favorite items, feature a specific style or promote a special event or sale. Use collections to give your editorial perspective on why you chose the merchandise you have in store. Boutique Window will prompt you to share the news when you create a new collection.
5. Share an existing collection
Collections are perfect for promoting special events and sales. Be sure you are continuing to promote your special event or sale by sharing your collection regularly. When you share a collection, the link will drive your shoppers to the collection page to continue browsing. All you have to do is click on the collection and click the “Share this Collection” button.
6. Pin items to Pinterest
Update: You can now Pin the same photo collages you build for Facebook and Twitter to any of your store’s Pinterest boards! Learn more here.
To reach shoppers on Pinterest, simply click the “Pin It” button from your item detail pages. We will automatically create a description for you including the item details, your store name, and your store location so shoppers can find you! The pin will link back to your Boutique Window so shoppers can get additional item details and continue browsing all of your great merchandise.
How often should I share merchandise?
We recommend sharing to your social networks at least 3 – 5 times a week and for most independent retailers we recommend at least once a day. If you get inventory often and you see a high amount of inventory turnover, consider sharing 2-3 times per day.
Is there a limit? How much is too much?
Not exactly. A lot of boutiques fear they are annoying their shoppers by posting frequently, but the truth is they liked your page for a reason. And, shoppers want to see what you have in store. Share away!
What time should I share?
Take a look at the Insights on your Facebook Business page to get an idea of when your shoppers are online. We recommend varying the time of day you are sharing to ensure you are reaching all of your shoppers. Some will check before work, some during lunch, etc.
What should I write for a caption?
Keep it simple. Call out what you are showcasing or what’s happening in the store. Encourage shoppers to click the included link to view more. If you’re in need of inspiration, keep an eye out for your bi-weekly Content Corner email.
