A well-merchandised tabletop display with distinct points of interest will attract customers and increase sales. Here are a few tips for creating the best tabletop displays.
Better together: Arrange items into groups
Add height to your tabletop displays to prevent a long and boring horizontal plane. It peaks the customer’s interest by creating multiple points of focus. You can use a trio of nesting tables for a waterfall of displays or get creative with stacking props like crates, baskets, or eye-catching platforms.

Think about every angle
Is your display centered for customers to walk around or is it against a wall? Watch traffic patterns and consider the customer’s perspective from every approach. It’s also good to consider lighting and make sure you don’t obstruct the view of other nearby displays.

Choose complementary merchandise
No matter what type of merchandise you are displaying, it’s advantageous to feature a variety of goods that compliment each other. Stick with a specific color story or feature items that can be used together. Not only will this help the theme of the display, but motivate shoppers to consider multiple items for purchase.

Show us your good side
Consider the special features of each item and let them shine. Those little details are often what sells an item, so make sure it is the first thing a customer sees. If there may be some confusion as to what an item is or how its used, create a “demo” within your display. For example, use a mannequin to show how to tie the funky belt or place the unique bookmark inside a book.

Keep things clean and organized
Be sure to spruce up your tabletop display as merchandise sells. Doing so will continue to attract repeat customers and keep the merchandise looking fresh. Every item should be easily accessible to the customer, so watch your stacking and layering techniques.
