The URL that Facebook automatically assigns to your Facebook page is long and includes a string of numbers, which can make it hard to include in marketing materials. In this article, we’ll show you how to set the vanity URL (a better looking, easier to read URL) for your store’s Facebook page.
Click on the “Edit Page” button at the top of your store’s Facebook page and select “Update Page Info.”
Click on “Enter a Facebook web address.”
Click on “Create a web address for this page?”
Facebook may ask you to switch to using Facebook as your personal account. If this dialogue box comes up, click on the “Continue” button.
Make sure the drop down box displays the name of your store’s business page, enter the name you’d like to use in your vanity URL and click on “Check Availability”. Your URL has to be unique, so you may get a note that says what you’ve entered is already taken.
Once you’ve found a unique URL, Facebook will ask you to review requirements. Make sure your URL complies and then click confirm.
You now have a pretty, readable URL to promote to your shoppers!
