Pinterest is one of the fastest growing social networks with over 23 million unique visitors per month (if you haven’t used Pinterest before, get started with our introductory guide). Pinterest is visually driven and is a great place to showcase photos of your merchandise.
But, we know that adding yet another network into your social media regime can seem like an overwhelming task. Boutique Window makes it easy to use Pinterest to maximize your store’s exposure.
How to Pin items from your Boutique Window
Updated on March 12, 2014 – Easier sharing to Pinterest
We’ve made it super simple for you and your shoppers to share your merchandise to Pinterest. Just open the item you want to share in your Boutique Window and click the “Pin it” button. We will automatically generate the description including your store name and location to save you time and improve your search results.
Why shouldn’t I just upload photos directly to Pinterest?
Don’t create a dead end for your shoppers.
It’s important to pin your items from your Boutique Window instead of uploading the photo directly to Pinterest. When you upload a pin from your computer to Pinterest, the pin will not link anywhere, so your shoppers are faced with a dead end.
When you use the “Pin it” button to pin from your Boutique Window, shoppers are directed to additional information. When shoppers click on the Pin, they will be linked to your Boutique Window to get additional item details and then to continue browsing the rest of your new arrivals. In addition, Pinterest will pull together all the pins from your Boutique Window, so shoppers can browse a feed of your merchandise.
Maximize Your Time
Why upload to Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and your website separately if you don’t have to? Use Boutique Window to upload once and automatically share your merchandise out to all 4 networks.
Shoppers can Pin from Facebook
Typically, shoppers are not able to pin merchandise they see on Facebook to their Pinterest boards because Facebook blocks the ability to Pin a post or photo from Facebook to Pinterest. However, the Boutique Window “Pin it” button works great in the Boutique Window Facebook app! Shoppers can pin your items from within Facebook, driving traffic back to your Boutique Window.
Shoppers can’t Pin images from your Facebook wall.
The Pin It button in your Boutique Window Facebook app lets shoppers Pin items directly from Facebook.
