Be creative with your collections! Collections are a great way to give your shoppers insight into your style perspective and why you chose the items you have in store. Once you have your collection created, be sure to let your shoppers know by sharing it out to your Facebook wall and Twitter followers.
Here are some examples of our favorite ways to feature items in collections.
Current trends for the upcoming season.
Make sure your shoppers know what the hot trends and styles are for the upcoming season. This example (above) from The Public Shoes showcases their new merchandise for Spring.
Your employees have friends that likely share similar tastes and styles as them. Encourage them to create a collection and curate their favorite in store finds for their friends.
Local & Unique Merchandise
We love seeing the local, one-of-a-kind items you have available at your store. Highlight these items through a collection! Here are two examples from current customers.
Matel at Tsuru is highlighting merchandise she carries in store from local merchants in her “We love local” collection.
Duo Shoes highlights artwork they carry in store from their artist of the month. This is one of our favorites!
Showcase items from a recent fashion show, trunk show or event.
Encourage your shoppers to browse through the items you’ve featured at your most recent events. Drive traffic to your store by reminding them of all the great items they saw. Embellish chose to promote the items she showcased in a fashion show at the local University.
