Photographing jewelry can be a challenge. Here are few simple tips that will help you take beautiful pictures of your necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
Photograph Necklaces On a Mannequin
Use a necklace bust or full-sized mannequin to help your shoppers understand the size of the jewelry and how it will lay when worn. If you’re using a full mannequin, dress it in a simple outfit that will complement your jewelry.
Photograph Bracelets on a Display Pillow
Use a display pillow to make it easier to photograph flattering angles of your bracelets. It will also give shoppers a realistic idea of how they will fit. You can add some style to simple display pillows by covering them in new fabric – just make sure you keep it neutral so that it doesn’t take attention away from the jewelry.
Photograph Bracelets on Skinny Vases or Jars
Use wrist size vases or jars to add some creative flare to your bracelet photos with all the same benefits of using a display pillow. Make sure you choose subtle vases that complement your jewelry.
Photograph Earrings Hanging
When possible, hang your earrings to photograph them to replicate how they will look when worn. Use a standard earring display stand or get creative and use an empty frame strung with wire or string. Pro tip: Drop earrings and chandelier earrings will move for a while after hanging. Wait for them to completely stop before taking a picture or your image may end up blurry.

Show Off the Details with Multiple Photos
